ACE Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Frozen) (IHC (F)) — Immunohistochemical analysis of ACE in perfusion fixed frozen sections of mouse kidney. Samples were incubated in ACE polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47146) using a dilution of 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained (red).

ACE Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of ACE in 0.2 mg/mL lysates of mouse lung tissue. Samples were incubated in ACE polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47146) using a dilution of 10 µg/mL followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG at a dilution of 0.0763888888888889. A specific band was detected for ACE/CD143 at approximately 218 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using the 66-440 kDa separation system.

ACE Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of ACE in mouse lung tissue. Samples were incubated in ACE polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47146) using a dilution of 0.05 µg/mL followed by a HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG secondary antibody. A specific band was detected for ACE/CD143 at approximately 180 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

In Western blots, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant human ACE and 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human ACE-2 is observed.

Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

This gene encodes an enzyme involved in catalyzing the conversion of angiotensin I into a physiologically active peptide angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasopressor and aldosterone-stimulating peptide that controls blood pressure and fluid-electrolyte balance. This enzyme plays a key role in the renin-angiotensin system. Many studies have associated the presence or absence of a 287 bp Alu repeat element in this gene with the levels of circulating enzyme or cardiovascular pathophysiologies. Two most abundant alternatively spliced variants of this gene encode two isozymes-the somatic form and the testicular form that are equally active. Multiple additional alternatively spliced variants have been identified but their full length nature has not been determined.
