BRD7 Antibody (PA5-49379) in WB
Western blot analysis of BRD7 in various lysates. Samples were incubated with BRD7 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-49379) using a dilution of 1:2,000 followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 20 µg per lane. Lane 1: mouse heart lysate; Lane 2: mouse kidney lysate; Lane 3: mouse lung lysate. Predicted band size: 74 kDa. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.

BRD7 acts both as coactivator and as corepressor. For example, it activates the Wnt signaling pathway in a DVL1-dependent manner by negatively regulating the GSK3B phosphotransferase activity. In addition, it is required for TP53-mediated cell-cycle arrest in response to oncogene activation. BRD7 promotes acetylation of TP53 at Lys-382, and thereby promotes efficient recruitment of TP53 to target promoters, inhibiting cell cycle progression from G1 to S phase.
