CTH Antibody (PA5-144083) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of CTH in A431 cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum. Samples were then incubated in CTH Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-144083) using a dilution of 5 μg/mL. Adding 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Immunogen sequence is different from the related mouse and rat sequences by two amino acids.
Positive Control - WB: human K562 whole cell, human HepG2 whole cell, human THP-1 whole cell, human HCCT tissue, rat liver tissue, mouse liver tissue. ICC/IF: A431 cell. Flow: JK cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
This gene encodes a cytoplasmic enzyme in the trans-sulfuration pathway that converts cystathione derived from methionine into cysteine. Glutathione synthesis in the liver is dependent upon the availability of cysteine. Mutations in this gene cause cystathioninuria. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
