Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human GCP-2 (CXCL6). Anti-Human GCP-2 (CXCL6) specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human GCP-2 matrix.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human GCP-2 (CXCL6) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human GCP-2 (CXCL6)(500-P120Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human GCP-2 (CXCL6).

CXCL6 is a chemotactic for neutrophil granulocytes. It signals through binding and activation of its receptors (CXCR1 and CXCR2). In addition to its chemotactic and angiogenic properties, it has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (90-fold-higher when compared to CXCL5 and CXCL7).
