EEF1B2 Antibody (PA5-115162) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of EEF1B2 in A549 cells. Samples were treated with PFA, permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked in 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), and incubated with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115162). Secondary staining was applied with mouse anti-beta tubulin (1 hr at 37°, AlexaFluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (Red), AlexaFluor 488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (Green) and DAPI.

EF-1 (elongation factor-1) is a multi-protein complex that is responsible forthe delivery of aminoacyl-tRNAs to the ribosome. The EF-1 protein complexis composed of four subunits: EF-1 α, EF-1 β, EF-1 δ and EF-1 γ. EF-1 β is a225 amino acid member of the EF-1 β/EF-1 δ protein family and contains oneGST C-terminal domain. Both EF-1 β and EF-1 δ stimulate the exchange ofGDP bound to EF-1 α to GTP. Phosphorylation of EF-1 β affects the GDP/GTP exchange rate. Alternative splicing events of the gene that encodes EF-1 β result in three transcript variants that differ only in the 5' UTR.
