EN1 Antibody (PA5-102981) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry analysis of EN1 in A549 cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with EN1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-102981) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

EN1 (Engrailed homolog 1) is a transcription factor expressed in embryonic ventral limb ectoderm and is essential for ventral limb patterning. En1 expression in the developing perichordal tube suggests that it may also be involved in vertebrae assembly. Loss of EN1 function in mice results in dorsal transformations of ventral paw structures and in subtle alterations along the proximal/distal limb axis.
