HIPK1 Antibody (PA5-81196) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence staining of HIPK1 in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with HIPK1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-81196, 1:5,000) at 4°C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor®488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to cytoplasm and nucleus.

HIPK1 phosphorylates homeodomain transcription factors and may also function as a co-repressor for homeodomain transcription factors. The protein encoded by HIPK1 belongs to the Ser/Thr family of protein kinases and HIPK subfamily. Alternative splicing results in four transcript variants encoding four distinct isoforms.
