IGFBP4 Antibody (702794) in WB
Western blot analysis was performed on whole cell extracts (30µg of lysate) of MCF-7 (Lane 1), PC-3 (Lane 3) and Conditioned media of MCF-7 (Lane 2) and PC-3 (Lane 4). The blots were probed with Anti-IGFBP4 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Product # 702794, 1:200 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 1:4000 dilution). A ~28 kDa band corresponding to IGFBP4 was observed in conditioned media of all cell lines tested.

This gene is a member of the insulin-like growth factor binding protein family and encodes a protein with an IGFBP domain and a thyroglobulin type-I domain. The protein binds both insulin-like growth factors I and II and circulates in the plasma in both glycosylated and non-glycosylated forms. Binding of this protein prolongs the half-life of the IGFs and alters their interaction with cell surface receptors.
