Description: The 1402nAF monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse interleukin (IL)-17AF heterodimer. This antibody specifically reacts with this heterodimer and has no reactivity for IL-17A or IL-17F homodimers.
Applications Reported: This 1402nAF antibody has been reported for use as a neutralization antibody of IL-17AF biological activity.
Applications Tested: The Functional Grade purified format of the 1402nAF antibody has been tested for neutralization of IL-17AF biological activity.
Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/µg antibody, as determined by LAL assay.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.
IL-17A and IL-17F are well-characterized homodimeric cytokines secreted by T helper 17 (Th17) cells, gamma-delta T cells and several subsets of innate lymphoid cells. Somewhat less appreciated, IL-17A and IL-17F subunits can also form the heterodimer, IL-17AF. Together, these three dimers signal through the IL-17RA/IL-17RC receptor complex to mediate immune responses at mucosal interfaces and are found at lesion sites in inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, atopic dermatitis and rheumatoid arthritis.
