Kallikrein 11 Antibody (PA5-119869) in WB
Western blot analysis of Kallikrein 11 on different lysates. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. Kallikrein 11 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-119869) at 1:500 was used in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:200,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature. Positive control: Lane 1: Mouse brain tissue lysate. Lane 1: Human skin tissue lysate. Lane 2: K562 cell lysate.

Hippostasin, also known as KLK11, is a kallikrein-like serine protease, which has two alternatively spliced isoforms, brain-type and prostate-type. Hippostasin plays a role in the prostate, including reproductive and/or tumorigenic functions. Elevated serum levels of KLK11 were found in 70% of women with ovarian cancer and in 60% of men with prostate cancer. Analysis of the KLK11 biomarker in serum may aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of ovarian and prostatic carcinoma.
