Immunohistochemical analysis of LHX5 in perfusion fixed frozen sections of adult mouse brain (hippocampus). Samples were incubated in LHX5 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47828) using a dilution of 10 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).

This antibody detects recombinant human LHX5 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs, approximately 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) LIM1 is observed, and less than 5% cross-reactivity with rhLHX2, and rhLHX9 is observed.

Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.

This gene encodes a protein belonging to a large protein family, members of which carry the LIM domain, a unique cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain. The encoded protein may function as a transcriptional regulator and be involved in the control of differentiation and development of the forebrain. In mice, this protein is essential for the regulation of precursor cell proliferation and the control of neuronal differentiation and migration during hippocampal development. This protein is involved in learning and motor functions in adult mice.
