PTGES Antibody (PA5-115747) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of PTGES in rat kidney tissue. Samples were treated with formaldehyde and treated with citrate buffer for antigen retrieval, blocked, and incubated (1.5 hours at 22°C) with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115747) at a dilution of 1:100. Secondary staining was applied with HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit.

PTGES is a glutathione-dependent prostaglandin E synthase. The expression of this gene has been shown to be induced by proinflammatory cytokine interleukin 1 beta (IL1B). Its expression can also be induced by tumor suppressor protein TP53, and may be involved in TP53 induced apoptosis.
