Western blot analysis was performed on whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of MDA-MB-231 (Lane 1), MCF-7 (Lane 2), A549 (Lane 3), A-431 (Lane 4) and WJ-MSC (Wharton's Jelly-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells) (Lane 5) and tissue extract of Mouse testis (Lane 6). PTGES is a glutathione-dependent prostaglandin E synthase. The expression of this gene has been shown to be induced by proinflammatory cytokine interleukin 1 beta (IL1B). Its expression can also be induced by tumor suppressor protein TP53, and may be involved in TP53 induced apoptosis.
