Western blot analysis of Phospho-GYS1 (Ser641) in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with Phospho-GYS1 (Ser641) Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-121310) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10,000. Glycogen Synthase 1 (GYS1) catalyzes the addition of glucose monomers to the growing glycogen molecule through the formation of alpha-1,4-glycoside linkages. Mutations in this gene are associated with muscle glycogen storage disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
