Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human PlGF-1. Anti-Human PlGF-1-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA: To detect hPlGF by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human PlGF (500-P226) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hPlGF.

PlGF-1 is an angiogenic factor that belongs to the cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors. PlGF-1 is expressed in placental tissues, the colon, and mammary carcinomas. It signals through the VEGFR-1/FLT1 receptor, and stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and migration.
