RAB18 Antibody (MA5-24744) in WB

Western blot analysis of RAB18 in various lysates. Samples were incubated with RAB18 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-24744) using a dilution of 1:500-1:2,000 followed by Goat Anti-mouse IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 20 µg per lane. Lane 1: PC-3 whole cell lysate; Lane 2: mouse brain lysate; Lane 3: rat brain lysate; Lane 4: human brain lysate; Lane 5: human testis lysate. Predicted band size: 23 kDa. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a family of Ras-related small GTPases that regulate membrane trafficking in organelles and transport vesicles. Knockdown studies is zebrafish suggest that this protein may have a role in eye and brain development. Mutations in this gene are associated with Warburg micro syndrome type 3. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
