RanBP16 Antibody (A305-805A-T) in WB
Detection of human and mouse RanBP16 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (15 µg) from Jurkat, A-549, Hep-G2, mouse TCMK-1, and mouse NIH 3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RanBP16 antibody A305-805A-M (lot A305-805A-M-1) used for WB at 1:1000. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

The import of proteins with a nuclear localization signal is accomplished by recognition of one or more clusters of basic amino acids by the importin-alpha/beta complex; see MIM 600685 and MIM 602738. The small GTPase RAN plays a key role in NLS-dependent protein import. RAN-binding protein-16 is a member of the importin-beta superfamily of nuclear transport receptors.
