Western Blot using SLC11A2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-78404). Mouse tissue extract (50 µg) was separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with SLC11A2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-78404) diluted at 1:1,000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Mutations in this gene are associated with hypochromic microcytic anemia with iron overload. A related solute carrier family 11 protein gene is located on chromosome 2. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
