Western blot analysis of SLC25A12 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with SLC25A12 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-88212) using a dilution of 1:3,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 1s.

Target Information
This gene encodes a calcium-binding mitochondrial carrier protein. The encoded protein localizes to the mitochondria and is involved in the exchange of aspartate for glutamate across the inner mitochondrial membrane. Polymorphisms in the gene encoding this protein may be associated with risk of autism.
