SNAP25 Polyclonal Antibody detects SNAP25 protein at cell body and synaptic vesicles by immunofluorescent analysis. Sample: DIV9 rat E18 primary cortical neurons were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: SNAP25 protein stained by SNAP25 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-85396) diluted at 1:500. Red: beta Tubulin 3/ Tuj1, a neuron cell marker, stained by beta-3 Tubulin Polyclonal Antibody [GT11710] diluted at 1:500. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI .

SNAP25 is a t-SNARE involved in the molecular regulation of neurotransmitter release. It may play a role in the synaptic function of specific neuronal systems. SNAP25 associates with proteins involved in vesicle docking and membrane fusion. It also regulates plasma membrane recycling through its interaction with CENPF. Mutations in the gene can results in myasthenic syndrome.
