Immunohistochemistry analysis of Syntaxin 3 in paraffin-embedded mouse kidney. Samples were incubated with Syntaxin 3 Monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-38092) using a dilution of 1:100 (40x lens). Perform microwave antigen retrieval with 10 mM Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

The encoded protein is targeted to the apical membrane of epithelial cells where it forms clusters and is important in establishing and maintaining polarity necessary for protein trafficking involving vesicle fusion and exocytosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
