THEMIS Antibody (A305-277A) in WB
Detection of human THEMIS by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 µg) from HeLa, HEK293T, and Jurkat cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-THEMIS antibody (Product # A305-277A) (lot A305-277A-1) used for WB at 0.1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Themis is a cytoplasmic protein that is essential for positive selection and the development of single-positive thymocytes. Highest levels of expression are found in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes, with lower expression found in mature T cells. In addition to Grb1, Themis has been found to associate with PLC gamma 1 and LAT and is quickly phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. There are 5 isoforms of mouse Themis that are produced as a result of alternative splicing.
