Detection of human and mouse ZBTB1 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (15 and 50 µg), Jurkat (J; 50 µg), HEK293T (T; 50 µg) and mouse NIH 3T3 (M; 50 µg) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ZBTB1 antibody (Product # A303-242A) used for WB at 0.4 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

ZBTB1 acts as a transcriptional repressor. Represses cAMP-responsive element (CRE)-mediated transcriptional activation. In addition, has a role in translesion DNA synthesis. Requires for UV-inducible RAD18 loading, PCNA monoubiquitination, POLH recruitment to replication factories and efficient translesion DNA synthesis. Plays a key role in the transcriptional regulation of T lymphocyte development.
