Western blot analysis of ZNF544 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with ZNF544 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-110604) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Enhanced Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain a Kruppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which is thought to interact with KAP1, thereby recruiting histone modifying proteins. ZNF544 is a zinc finger protein belonging to the Kruppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. It localizes to the nucleus and may play a role in transcriptional regulation. ZNF544 is a 715 amino acid long protein that contains 13 C2H2-type zinc fingers and 1 KRAB domain.
