Western blot analysis of PLTP in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with PLTP Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-120931) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

PLTP is one of at least two lipid transfer proteins found in human plasma. The protein transfers phospholipids from triglyceride-rich lipoproteins to high density lipoprotein (HDL). In addition to regulating the size of HDL particles, this protein may be involved in cholesterol metabolism.
