The Mouse Peptide YY (PYY) ELISA quantitates PYY in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
原理方法
The Mouse Peptide YY (PYY) solid phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target specific antibody has been pre coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the binding of the second (detector) antibody to the target on a different epitope from the capture antibody. An antibody conjugated with enzyme binds the formed sandwich. After incubation and washing steps to rid the microplate of unbound substances.

Peptide tyrosine-tyrosine amide (3-36), or PYY (3-36), is a major metabolite of the gut hormone PYY and is produced by the action of dipeptidyl peptidase IV on PYY in the intestinal brush border and in the circulation. PYY (3-36) is a potent inhibitor of food intake in rats and humans, acting selectively on the Y2 receptor to inhibit orexigenic NPY neurons in the arcuate nucleus, thus disinhibiting anorexigenic POMC neurons. The anorexigenic effect of PYY (3-36) is additive to that of the co-secreted gut hormone GLP-1.
