This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56248. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

PHACTR1 plays a role in cell motility and in the formation of tubules by endothelial cells. PHACTR1 also binds actin monomers (G actin) and plays a role in the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and in formation of actin stress fibers. Further, PHACTR1 regulates PPP1CA activity and is required for normal cell survival.
