ISL1 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescence analysis of HEK293 cells trasfected with full-length ISL1-human IgG Fc using ISL1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-15516) (Green). Blue: DRAQ5 fluorescent DNA dye.

ISL1 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot was performed using Anti-ISL1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (1B1) (Product # MA5-15516) and a 42 kDa band corresponding to Islet-1 was observed in SH-SY5Y, at relatively much lower level in THP1, Mouse Brain but not in Mouse Colon which is reported to be negative. Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of SH-SY5Y (Lane 1), THP1 (Lane 2), tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of Mouse Brain (Lane 3) and Mouse Colon (Lane 4) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 3-8% Tris-Acetate Protein Gel (Product # EA0375BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane (Product # IB23001) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001).The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1:1000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence with Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A28177, 1:4000 dilution) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752). Chemiluminescent detection was performed using Novex® ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate Reagent Kit (Product # WP20005).

靶标信息

This gene encodes a member of the LIM/homeodomain family of transcription factors. The encoded protein binds to the enhancer region of the insulin gene, among others, and may play an important role in regulating insulin gene expression. The encoded protein is central to the development of pancreatic cell lineages and may also be required for motor neuron generation. Mutations in this gene have been associated with maturity-onset diabetes of the young.
