PEP-1593 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34550. For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37ºC.

It is required during post-transcriptional gene expression and may be involved in pre-mRNA splicing. Mutations affecting the gene can result in myeloproliferative/lymphoproliferative neoplasms, familial (MPLPF).
