This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-60022. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Dihydrouridine synthase catalyzes reduction of the 5,6-double bond of a uridine residue on the displacement loop of tRNA. The resultant modified base, 5,6-dihydrouridine, appears to increase the conformational flexibility and dynamic motion of tRNA (Kato et al., 2005 [PubMed 15994936]).
