This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-60483. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

As a member of the FASTKD family, FASTKD1 localizes to the mitochondria to modulate their energy balance, especially under conditions of stress. Though ubiquitously expressed in all tissues, FASTKD1 appears more abundantly in skeletal muscle, heart muscle, and other tissues enriched in mitochondria. FASTKD1 has been validated as an RNA-binding protein.
