This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-83055. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

F-box proteins, critical components of the conserved ubiquitin-protein ligase complex SCF (Skp1/Cdc53-Cullin1/F-box), recruit substrates for ubiquitination and consequent degradation through their specific protein-protein interaction domains. Novel human F-box proteins named FBG1, FBG2, FBG3, FBG4 and FBG5 constitute a subfamily of mammalian F-box proteins. FBG genes are expressed in a limited number of human tissues including kidney, liver, brain and muscle tissues.
