Recombinant human FLT-3 Ligand is a non-glycosylated protein, containing 155 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 17.6 kDa. Purity is typically greater than 98% and endotoxin level less than 1 EU/ug.
The expected biological activity (ED50) is determined by the dose-dependent production of IL-6 by human PBMCs and is typically 100-200 ng/mL or the proliferation of OCI-AML5 cells and is typically 1-2 ng/mL. The specific activity of this protein is 6.7x10^3 units/mg or 5x10^5 units/mg, respectively.
Reconstitute using sterile water at 0.1 mg/mL and centrifuge prior to opening vial. Gently pipet solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX sample. Store reconstituted material at -20ºC and add 0.1% BSA for additional stability.

FLT3LG (Fms Related Tyrosine Kinase 3 Ligand) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with FLT3LG include Aplastic Anemia and Brain Cancer. Among its related pathways are Hematopoietic Stem Cell Differentiation Pathways and Lineage-specific Markers and Ras signaling pathway. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include protein homodimerization activity and cytokine activity. Dendritic cells (DCs) provide the key link between innate and adaptive immunity by recognizing pathogens and priming pathogen-specific immune responses. FLT3LG controls the development of DCs and is particularly important for plasmacytoid DCs and CD8-positive classical DCs and their CD103-positive tissue counterparts.
