This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-53516. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

NEK11 (FLJ23495) belongs to the NIMA family of kinases which are involved in DNA replication and genotoxic stress response. NEK11 encodes a member of the never in mitosis gene A family of kinases. The encoded protein localizes to the nucleoli, and may function with NEK2A in the S-phase checkpoint. The encoded protein appears to play roles in DNA replication and response to genotoxic stress. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
