This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-61757. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

It lacks segments homologous to RNP1 and RNP2, commonA. A motifs found in several RNA-binding proteins. It associates with U2 snRNP and participates in transcription and pre-mRNA splicing. It might play an important role in cell division and proliferation. Patients with connective tissue disorders often produce autoantibodies against snRNP particles.
