This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58282. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

In mammals, there are two paralogues of yeast Vps26, VPS26A and VPS26B. VPS26 is a component of the retromer complex composed of VPS26 (VPS26A or VPS26B), VPS29, VPS35, SNX1 and SNX2. VPS26A and VPS26B subunits define distinct retromer complexes. The retromer complex is important in recycling transmembrane receptors from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network (TGN).
