This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-65820. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Nuclear transport receptors of karyopherin/importin-beta superfamily mediate various transport pathways between nucleus and cytoplasm. Exportin-4 is a novel mammalian member of this family. It is a RanGTP-binding protein consisting of N-terminal RanGTP-binding motif. It functions as a nuclear export receptor for eIF-5A and also might function as an export adapter in RNA export. It is also involved in nuclear export of Smad3 and regulation of Smad signaling.
