Description: The monoclonal rat IgG2a is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported: This eBR2a antibody has been reported for use in immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical staining.
Applications Tested: This Rat IgG2a Isotype Control eFluor™ 570 has been tested by immunocytochemistry on fixed and permeabilized C2C12 cells and by immunohistochemistry (IHC-P) on formalin-fixed paraffin embedded human tissue. Use isotype control at the same concentration as experimental antibody.
Filter Recommendation: When using this eFluor™ 570 antibody conjugate, we recommend a filter that will capture the 570 emission wavelength (for example, Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70). A standard Alexa Fluor™ 555 or TRITC filter is acceptable.
Excitation: 555 nm; Emission: 570 nm
Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass that is commonly used in research and diagnostic applications. It is produced by the rat immune system and is known for its ability to activate complement and mediate antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). Rat IgG2a has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa and is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains. It is often used as a control or reference antibody in experiments involving rat models, and is also commonly used in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry applications.
