Description: The monoclonal rat IgG2a is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported: Rat IgG2a Isotype Control eFluor® 615 has been reported for use in immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical staining.
Applications Tested: Rat IgG2a Isotype Control eFluor® 615 has been tested by immunocytochemistry or immunohistochemistry. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody. This product has not been validated for flow cytometric analysis.
Filter Recommendation: When using this eFluor® 615 antibody conjugate, we recommend a filter that will capture the 615 emission wavelength (for example, Excitation 560/55, 585LP, Emission 645/75). A standard Alexa Fluor® 594 filter is acceptable.
Excitation: 595 nm; Emission: 615 nm.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass that is commonly used in research and diagnostic applications. It is produced by the rat immune system and is known for its ability to activate complement and mediate antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). Rat IgG2a has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa and is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains. It is often used as a control or reference antibody in experiments involving rat models, and is also commonly used in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry applications.
